Loudoun County, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Redskins have signed free agent defensive end Clifton Geathers, the team announced Thursday.

Geathers comes to the Burgundy and Gold after a one-year stop with NFC East- rival Philadelphia, where he totaled 13 tackles while playing in all 16 regular-season games and starting one.

Originally entering the NFL as a sixth-round pick of the Browns in the 2010 draft, Geathers has had stints with six teams (Cleveland, Miami, Seattle, Dallas, Indianapolis, Philadelphia) over his four years in the league.
