Toronto Raptors forward Andrea Bargnani will be sidelined indefinitely due to a ligament tear in his right elbow and a strained right wrist, the club announced Wednesday.

Bargnani, the team's second leading scorer, sustained the injury in Monday's loss in Portland. The seven-year veteran was averaging 16.0 points and 4.3 rebounds over the first 21 games.

Another starter, Kyle Lowry, also suffered a partial tear of his right triceps muscle on Monday and is expected to be out around 10 days after undergoing treatment.

Lowry, a 6-foot guard, leads the Raptors with 5.6 rebounds per game to go with 15.8 points and 5.8 assists per outing.
