PSG signed Uruguay defender Diego Lugano on a year contract from Turkish side Fenerbahce on Tuesday, as it continued a busy offseason that has included around $120 million in signings.

Lugano, 30, joins for a fee reported to be around $4 million. The center back scored 21 goals in 125 games for Fenerbahce.

Argentina Javier Pastore joined on a record $60 million deal, and Lugano joins his fellow South American as the French side is hoping to snap a long drought in Ligue 1. PSG last won the league in 1994.

Lugano has five goals in 63 matches for Uruguay, which won the Copa America in July and finished fourth in the 2010 World Cup.
