LINCOLN, Neb. – Jordan Hooper had 19 points, 18 rebounds and two blocks to lead No. 16 Nebraska to a 68-59 victory against Wisconsin on Sunday.
Emily Cady scored 13 points and Lindsey Moore and Kaitlyn Burke 11 each for the Cornhuskers (20-6, 9-5 Big Ten), who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Morgan Paige had 15 points and Taylor Wurtz 14 for the Badgers (8-18, 4-10).
Nebraska shot 51.7 percent (15 of 29) in the first half and outscored Wisconsin 19-4 during the last seven minutes to take a 42-24 lead at the break. Cady had seven points and Burke five during the surge, and the Cornhuskers increased the lead to 26 points in the second half.
Anya Covington scored 12 points and Lacia Gorman 10 for the Badgers, who have lost five straight games.
