Birmingham, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Aston Villa and forward Gabriel Agbonlahor have agreed on a four-year contract extension, keeping the England international at the club he joined as a youth in 1994.
Agbonlahor has earned three caps for England in his international career, and he has been part of a Villa side that has gotten off to a strong start in the Premiership this season, taking seven of a possible nine points from the first three games.
"It is good news for me to commit my future to the club and play the rest of my best years for Aston Villa," Agbonlahor said.
"It is a four-year deal. That is what the contract provides - it gives me the chance to play for such a big club for the next four years.
"I've always said I only wanted to play for one side and that dream has come true."
The 27-year-old Agbonlahor made his debut for the senior team in March 2006 as a 19-year-old against Everton, and he has gone on to make 286 appearances for the Villains, netting 68 goals.
