Maikhail Miller's touchdown in overtime and successful two-point conversion pass sealed a 35-34 victory for Murray State against Jacksonville State Saturday.

Miller, who threw for one touchdown and rushed for two others in the Ohio Valley Conference opener, led the Racers (3-2, 1-0) in passing and rushing with over 100 yards in both. His touchdown in the fourth quarter gave Murray State a 27-24 lead after giving up 14 points in the third.

With four seconds left in the fourth quarter, Griffin Thomas scored a 25-yard field goal for Jacksonville State (4-1, 0-1) to send the game into overtime at 27-27.

The Gamecocks started on offense in OT and DaMarcus James scored on a 13-yard rush. James gave Jacksonville State its first lead with two touchdowns in the third and rushed for 189 yards. The Racers were undaunted, driving down the field and scoring eight points for the win.
