Maurice Taylor and Clemmye Owens scored 22 points apiece to lift Bethune-Cookman to a 70-68 win over Florida A&M on Thursday night.

It was a career-high for Taylor, who also hauled in 10 rebounds to post his first career double-double, as Bethune-Cookman (7-24, 5-11 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) snapped a three-game losing skid with the win.

Trailing 29-27 at the break, the Wildcats rallied in the second half to take a 58-56 lead on an Owens layup with 6:03 to go, and then protected the lead down the stretch.

Malik Jackson contributed 14 points for Bethune-Cookman.

Florida A&M (13-17, 8-8) cut the lead 69-67 on a Trey Kellum three-point play with 10 seconds left but couldn't overtake the Wildcats in the final game of the regular season for both teams.

Reggie Lewis led FAMU with 23 points in the loss, which ended a five-game win streak.
