Lyon, France – Lyon signed defender Bakary Kone from second- year contract.
Kone, 23, has played 16 times for Burkina Faso on the international level and helped Guingamp win the French Cup in 2009.
He is the first signing for new coach Remi Garde, who replaced Claude Puel.
Lyon plays Ajaccio on Saturday in Ligue 1.
