Delhi, India (SportsNetwork.com) - Rashid Khan birdied the first playoff hole Sunday to defeat Siddikur Rahman and win the SAIL-SBI Open.

Khan, who held the 54-hole lead, managed just a 1-under 71 during his final round at Delhi Golf Club, while Rahman carded a 3-under 69 to both finish at 18-under-par 270.

Khan had fallen behind Rahman late in the final round, but birdied his final two holes to force the playoff.

The duo then returned to the 18th hole for the playoff, where Khan found the green with his second shot and Rahman needed three.

After Rahman failed to convert a 15-foot birdie try, Khan calmly 2-putted for birdie to claim his first career win on the Asian Tour.

"I had to be aggressive in the playoff. I had to go for it," said Khan. "I was hoping to win a tournament this year on the Asian Tour and to happen in the first tournament on my home course is incredible."

Rikard Karlberg (68) finished in third place at 12-under, while Carlos Pigem (68), S.S.P. Chowrasia (68) and Martin Rominger (72) shared fourth at minus-11.
