Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap will be sidelined until at least the weekend as he continues to recover from a right knee contusion.

Millsap, who suffered the injury in Friday's loss to Detroit, also sat out Saturday's matchup with the New York Knicks. He will not play in Tuesday's home game against Chicago or a road test against Boston on Wednesday.

Millsap ranks second among Hawks players in scoring (17.6 ppg) and rebounding (8.3 rpg), and earned his first All-Star Game appearance this season. In his absence against New York, DeMarre Carroll scored a career-high 24 points while drawing the start at power forward, and Mike Scott delivered a personal-best 30 on 11-of-14 shooting in extended action.

Centers Pero Antic (ankle) and Gustavo Ayon (shoulder) also remain out for the ailing Hawks, who entered Tuesday's action with a four-game lead over Detroit for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Hawks will travel to Phoenix to face the Suns on Sunday after taking on the Celtics, with the Boston clash opening a six-game road swing.
