Ajax thought it had done enough to claim all three points, but Graziano Pelle struck at the death to earn Feyenoord a point in a 2-2 draw at De Kuip Stadion on Sunday.

Christian Eriksen had given the visitors the lead in the 12th minute, but Jean-Paul Boetius leveled the score in the 23rd minute.

Siem De Jong restored Ajax's lead three minutes after halftime, and while Niklas Moisander was sent off 15 minutes from time, the club looked well on its way to its fifth win of the season until Pelle's strike spoiled the occasion.

The two clubs remain tied, taking 18 points from 10 games. Ajax has drawn three straight and Feyenoord is unbeaten in its last four.

Elsewhere in Holland's top flight, PSV Eindhoven kept pace with Twente at the top of the Eredivisie table.

PSV battled back from one goal down to earn a 2-1 victory over Zwolle and improve to 24 points on the season. Twente did not lose any ground though, defeating RKC Waalwijk 1-0 to remain one point clear.

Also on Sunday, Heracles topped Heerenveen 6-3 thanks to hat trick from Ninos Gouriye and AZ Alkmaar grabbed a 2-1 win at Vitesse.
