PRINCETON, N.J. – Quinn Epperly scored six touchdowns and amassed 326 total yards to lead Princeton to a 53-7 win over Columbia Saturday in the Ivy League opener for both schools.
Epperly, who garnered four of those touchdowns through the air, threw for a total of 272 yards, completing 16 of 25 attempts. He also rushed for 54 yards on 11 carries. Roman Wilson pulled in nine of Epperly's passes for 144 yards and three touchdowns.
The Tigers (2-1, 1-0 Ivy League) started slow but that quickly changed in the second quarter as Epperly rushed for one touchdown and threw for three more to give Princeton a 36-7 halftime advantage.
Columbia (0-3, 0-1) got on the board when Kelly Hilinski hit Scooter Hollis on a 70-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.
The Princeton defense, led by Garrit Leicht with six tackles, held the Lions to 136 total yards.
