Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze resumed full training Tuesday, four months after he last played a competitive match.

The 19-year-old German international last played in early December, but missed significant time due to a pubic bone injury.

"It's a great feeling to be back," said Gotze, who signed a two-year contract extension last week through the 2015-16 season.

"I don't have any health problems anymore, but after such a long break it will take some time to settle in again."

Gotze has five goals and five assists in just 14 Bundesliga games this season. Capped 12 times for Germany, he will re-join his club team with the defending champions atop the standings by three points.

Dortmund is undefeated in 22 straight league matches, and leads Bayern Munich by the slim cushion with the teams set to meet in league play April 11. Bayern and Dortmund will also meet in the Pokal Cup final May 12.

Dortmund visits Wolfsburg on Saturday ahead of its clash with Bayern.
