Dolphins make several roster moves

Davie, FL – The Miami Dolphins made several roster moves signing defensive end Ryan Baker and terminating the contract of safety Yeremiah Bell.

Westerman comes to the Dolphins after having the best season of his three-year career. He recorded 32 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks through 16 games for the New York Jets last year.

Through 36 career games for the Jets, the undrafted 27-year-old has 49 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks.

Baker has spent his entire three-year career with the Dolphins, appearing in 16 total games and recording seven tackles and 1/2 sacks.

Bell was the longest-tenured member of the Dolphins. He has spent the previous eight seasons for the team after being selected in the sixth round of the 2003 draft.

He played in all 16 games for Miami in 2011 and finished with a team-high 107 tackles to go along with two sacks, one interception and four passes defensed.

Miami general manager Jeff Ireland said the team would be open to re-signing Bell in the future if he did sign with a new team.
