Dale Coyne Racing using Mike Conway in 2nd entry for Belle Isle doubleheaders

INDIANAPOLIS – Dale Coyne Racing has tabbed Mike Conway to drive its second entry this weekend in Detroit.

Conway raced once this year for Bobby Rahal at Long Beach. He qualified fifth and finished 25th.

It was his first IndyCar race since he walked away from A.J. Foyt Racing before last September's season finale because he was uncomfortable racing on ovals. Conway is interested in a partial program running street and road course events.

The Saturday and Sunday races at Belle Isle are on a street course.

Coyne's No. 18 Honda was driven in the first five races this year by Ana Beatriz. She was only scheduled to run through the Indianapolis 500, and Coyne said he will be looking at several driver combinations for the rest of the season.
