Nikola Cvetinovic scored 17 points to lead six Akron players in double figures as the Zips defeated Oral Roberts 84-80 Monday night.

The Zips (9-5), who led by as many as 15 points in the first half, lost the lead in the second before using a 15-1 run to go back on top 77-65 with 6:03 remaining.

Darryl Roberts scored six points during that run and finished with 12 points. Brett McClanahan had 13 points for the Zips, who won for the fifth time in six games. Zeke Marshall added 12 points, and Steve McNees and Brad McKnight had 10 each.

Damen Bell-Holter scored 27 for the Golden Eagles (5-11), who shot 65.2 percent (15 of 23) in the first half but ended it trailing 49-39.

For the game, Oral Roberts shot 59.2 percent (29 of 49) to Akron's 46 percent (29 of 63), but turnovers gave the Zips more opportunities. Oral Roberts turned the ball over 23 times to Akron's six.
