St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Cubs activated reliever Justin Grimm from the 15-day on Wednesday.
Grimm has yet to pitch this season because of right forearm inflammation. He made one rehab appearance for Triple-A Iowa, tossing a scoreless inning with a walk and two strikeouts on Monday.
The Cubs also recalled outfielder Matt Szczur from Iowa, optioned outfielder Junior Lake to their Triple-A club and designated pitcher Anthony Varvaro for assignment.
