New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Connecticut is again a unanimous choice as the top-ranked team in women's college basketball.

The Huskies, a 102-43 winner over UC Davis in their opener on Friday, earned all 35 first-place votes and 875 points from a nationwide media panel in the latest Associated Press poll. UConn won all 40 games last season en route to its ninth national championship, going wire-to-wire as the top-ranked team in the poll.

South Carolina, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Stanford, Duke and Baylor held their positions from second through eighth, while Maryland and Texas swapped places from the preseason poll to round out the top 10.

The second 10 consists of North Carolina, Louisville, Kentucky, California, Michigan State, Nebraska, West Virginia, DePaul, Iowa and Oregon State. DePaul and Iowa are tied for 18th.

Oklahoma State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Georgia, Gonzaga and Purdue are the last teams ranked. Georgia, Gonzaga and Purdue, all new to this week's rankings, tied for 24th.

Dayton and UCLA dropped out from the preseason after losses over the weekend.
