Manchester, England – Manchester City signed winger Scott Sinclair from Swansea City on Friday on an undisclosed fee.
Sinclair, 23, helped Swansea secure promotion to the English Premier League in 2010-11, and played 35 games last season in the top flight and had eight goals and four assists.
"I'm just glad everything is settled and that I'm now a City player," Sinclair said. "There were times when I thought it might not happen so I'm relieved that I'm here and I can't wait to get started."
Sinclair started his career at Bristol Rovers and debuted at age 15. He later joined Chelsea, and spent time on loan with Plymouth, QPR, Charlton, Crystal Palace, Birmingham and Wigan Athletic. He signed with Swansea in 2010.
He has also played for England at numerous youth levels, and was a member of the 2012 Great Britain Olympic team.
Terms of his contract with City were not disclosed.
