Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Cincinnati Bearcats quarterback Munchie Legaux has received an extra year of eligibility from the NCAA after missing most of the 2013 season with a knee injury.

Legaux had been carted off the field during the fourth quarter of the Bearcats' 45-17 loss to Illinois on Sept. 7 and underwent successful knee surgery days later.

In 31 career games, Legaux has completed 205-of-397 passes for 2,847 yards with 20 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. The dual-threat quarterback has also rushed for 627 yards on 113 attempts with seven scores.

Also, wide receiver Shaq Washington received another year of eligibility after missing most of his freshman season in 2011 with a knee injury. Washington had the fifth-best season at Cincinnati in regards to receptions with 78, which were good enough for 783 yards and one touchdown.

Legaux will have one year left, while Washington will have two seasons remaining as a collegiate athlete.
