CHICAGO - Corey Crawford is getting a raise after a 33-win season for the Chicago Blackhawks.

The 26-year-old goaltender signed an US$8-million, three-year contract with the team on Thursday.

Crawford is coming off a rookie season that saw him finish with a 33-18-6 record and four shutouts. He earned $800,000 last year.

The Montreal native was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2003 and spent parts of five seasons with Rockford and Norfolk in the AHL.

In 65 career NHL games, Crawford has a 34-21-12 record, 2.33 goals-against average and .917 save percentage.
