San Diego, CA – Chargers kicker Nate Kaeding suffered a left opening 24-17 win against the Minnesota Vikings.
During the opening kickoff, which the Vikings' Percy Harvin returned 103 yards for a touchdown, Kaeding got twisted around attempting to make the tackle. He eventually left the field on a cart and is not expected to return.
Mike Scifres handled punting and kicking duties with Kaeding out. He drilled his first career field goal try -- a 40-yarder -- and converted three extra points.
