Mike Muscala had 13 points, nine rebounds and two blocks and Bucknell used a second-half spurt to defeat Lafayette 75-56 on Wednesday night for its seventh straight win.

Bryson Johnson and G.W. Boon also scored 13 points apiece for the Bison (13-7), who started the Patriot League 4-0 for the first time since 2005-06, when they finished 14-0.

Bucknell, which has won 11 of its last 12 games, led 34-30 at halftime, then opened the second half with a 20-3 run in the first 8:43.

The Leopards (7-12, 2-2) could get no closer than 16 the rest of the way.

Although both teams came into the game ranking among the top free-throw shooting teams in the nation, Bucknell (No. 3 at 79.1 percent) shot just 63 percent (17 of 27) and Lafayette (No. 4 at 78.7 percent) shot 57.1 percent (8 of 14)

Jared Mintz, with 10 points, was the only Leopards player in double figures.
