New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs and Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater have been named the AFC's top players for the months of December and January.

Brady completed 65.3 percent of his passes for 1,608 yards and 11 touchdowns against only two interceptions. He led the Pats to a perfect 5-0 record during the months and his yards and touchdowns totals over the span tied for a conference-best with San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers.

Suggs, who won the award for the second time in his nine year career, finished with 21 tackles, five sacks and four forced fumbles, helping the Ravens to a 4-1 record.

Prater made six of seven attempted field goals, including two game-winners.

He kicked two field goals in the final two minutes, including the game-winning 23-yard boot in a 35-32 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13. Prater followed up that performance by kicking a 59-yarder to tie the game with three seconds left, and the game-winning 51-yarder in overtime to top the Chicago Bears, 13-10 in Week 14.
