Michel Bastos scored in the 72nd minute as Lyon maintained its undefeated Ligue 1 start with a 1-1 draw against Evian on Friday at the Parc des Sports.

Cedric Barbosa gave winless Evian the lead 10 minutes after halftime, but Lyon answered when Bastos converted a free kick to the bottom-left corner.

Lyon had won its first two matches, and used the draw to open a one-point lead atop the standings ahead of the weekend fixtures. Evian earned its first point of the season after opening with two straight losses.

This weekend, free-spending PSG will try to secure its first win of the young season when it hosts two-win Bordeaux on Sunday.

PSG needed a second-half brace from Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a 2-2 draw against Lorient in its opener at home and was held to a 0-0 draw at Ajaccio last week. PSG is the only team to draw its first two matches.

"(Last week) was very disappointing because we had the quality to win this match. We didn't have much cohesion up front. Against Lorient last week, we created a good dozen clear cut chances, but (against Ajaccio), just one," said PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti.

"It's up to us to find the right balance on the pitch. We need to keep working to improve."

Two-win Marseille visits winless defending champion Montpellier on Sunday, and Brest visits two-loss St. Etienne in the day's other match.

On Saturday, two-win Bastia will try to extend its strong start when it visits Rennes. Promoted Bastia has defeated Sochaux and Reims in its first two games.

"The result is very important for us in terms of confidence," said Bastia boss Frederic Hantz said after a 2-1 win over Reims last week.

Also Saturday, Nice hosts Lille, Nancy hosts Toulouse, Reims hosts Sochaux, Troyes hosts Lorient, and Valenciennes hosts Ajaccio.
