The Oakland Athletics recalled infielder A Sacramento on Saturday.

To open up spots on the roster, the team optioned infielder Adam Rosales and pitcher Jordan Norberto to Sacramento.

Allen was acquired from Arizona, along with Norberto, on July 31 for pitcher Brad Ziegler. Allen had five hits, including three homers, in 29 at-bats over 11 games with Arizona prior to the trade and has 10 hits in 40 at-bats with three homers in 10 games at Sacramento.

The A's got Billings from Colorado in the Mark Ellis trade on June 30 and he has pitched to a 5.14 earned run average in 12 games, including two starts, at Sacramento.

Rosales hit just .083 with two homers and seven RBI in 17 games over two stints with the A's this season, while Norberto has posted a 3.60 ERA in four relief appearances with Oakland since the Ziegler trade.
