Appalachian State has suspended two players, including last year's Southern Conference freshman of the year Sean Price.

In a release Thursday night, the school suspended Price "for an undetermined number of games" for violating the team rules.

No details were given about the violations, but the news comes after the wide receiver was arrested Sunday by Boone police for being intoxicated and disruptive. He's scheduled to appear in Watauga County District Court Sept. 19.

The school also suspended backup junior quarterback Kalik Barnes indefinitely from all team activities due to a violation of NCAA rules.

Coach Scott Satterfield says in the release that "the decisions that Kalik and Sean made did not meet (our) standards and, therefore, there are consequences."

Price, 20, caught 81 passes for 1,196 yards last season.
