Oakland, CA – Los Angeles Angels ace Jered Weaver flew back to Los Angeles on Wednesday morning to have his sore right shoulder examined.
Weaver hasn't thrown since taking a comebacker off his pitching shoulder on Sunday. He will have his shoulder looked at by Dr. Lewis Yocum.
Los Angeles has an off day Thursday before starting a three-game series against the Tigers on Friday. Weaver is scheduled to start Friday's game.
Weaver is 16-4 with a 2.86 ERA this season.
