It was not bring your random hockey sweater to work day at the White House. But it sure looked like it at the daily briefing.

Herewith, a photo essay from yours truly on the three looks of Press Secretary Robert Gibbs. The president's spokesman appeared first in a Team Canada hockey sweater (yes, hockey purists like me call them sweaters, NOT jerseys), for having lost a bet with Dmitri Soudas, spokesman for Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, on the outcome of the Canada-USA Gold Medal final at the Winter Olympics.

Gibbs then removed the Canada sweater to reveal a Team USA sweater. Eventually, Gibbs shed the red-white-and-blue for typical-press-briefing gray.

Your dutiful senior White House correspondent shot these photos from the Fox seat in the briefing row, Row 2 Seat 4. 'Natch.
