LOS ANGELES – The condition of Bobbi Kristina Brown is shrouded in conflict and confusion, with some family members hopeful, while others insist she will never improve.
An insider close to the family told FOX411 that the 22-year-old, who was found unconscious floating face down in a bath tub, is in a vegetative state.
“Bobby Brown should have let her go when the family all agreed back in February, the source said. "She’s a vegetable.”
But Bobby Brown’s sister Leolah Brown took to Facebook on Tuesday to dispute that, stating that she is "not on life support," and that the family is continuing to pray for a recovery.
“BOBBI KRISTINA BROWN IS ‘NOT’ ON LIFE SUPPORT ANYMORE AND SHE HAS SINCE THE BEGINNING AND IS CONTINUING TODAY TO IMPROVE,” the post read. “AND WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON HER! HELL NO! NOT ONE BROWN!”
Christopher Brown, legal counsel for Bobby Brown, released a statement Friday addressing media reports on her condition.
“Bobbi Kristina is not going home to die as numerous news affiliates and websites have reported,” he said.
When Bobbi Kristina's mother Whitney Houston died, after also being found in a bath tub, she left her fortune to her daughter. The family insider says Bobby Brown and Pat Brown – the wife of Houston’s brother – are the guardians and executors of Houston's estate. The source says the family is extremely upset that Pat Brown has not visited Bobbi Kristina in months.
“The Browns believe Pat just wants them to let her go now because Pat wants to cash in as she would control half the estate,” the insider said.
However, Bobby Brown released a statement stating Pat Brown is still invested in Bobbi Kristina’s improvement.
“I am making decisions with Pat Brown and we are working together for the medical care of my daughter,” Brown said. “Right now we are focused on Bobbi Kristina’s medical prognosis and the criminal investigation.”
In her Facebook post, Leolah Brown slammed Pat Brown.
“If Pat knew The God that I know, instead of trying to inherit my niece's money for her personal gain, she would mind her own business and go find A JOB for herself without continuously working so hard to destroy my niece, beg her for money and get angry when she cannot get it,” she wrote.
Reps for Bobbi Kristina Brown did not respond to FOX411’s request for comment.
