Pakistan's top military and civilian body has indicated that the country will soon reopen NATO and U.S. supply lines to Afghanistan but stopped short of calling for an immediate end to the war blockade.

It also said President Asif Ali Zardari should attend an upcoming NATO summit in Chicago on the future of Afghanistan.
