Wolfsburg, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Wolfsburg is aiming to lock up a place in the Champions League for the second time in the club's history as the team prepares to host relegation-battling Hannover on Saturday.

Wolfsburg has failed to win its last two league games, but after advancing to the final of Pokal Cup in midweek, Wolves will be confident of picking up three points to lock up a spot in Europe's premier club competition.

The 1-0 defeat to Monchengladbach last weekend allowed Bayern Munich to clinch the Bundesliga title and it was just the club's fifth setback in league play this season.

Hannover will have plenty at stake as well as the club is battling for survival in a tight race at the bottom of the league.

A run of 14 games without a win has dropped Hannover into the relegation fight and the club enters the weekend just one point above the drop zone.

Hamburg and Paderborn are each just one point back of Hannover and both sides will hit the road the road this weekend in an effort to climb out of the bottom three.

Paderborn's match at Freiburg has massive relegation implications as Freiburg sits just two points above Paderborn and can be dragged down into the bottom three as well if results go a certain way.

Hamburg faces a trip to mid-table Mainz, which is still harboring hopes of reaching the Europa League.

At the top of the table Bayern begins its victory lap at fourth-place Bayer Leverkusen with the home side sitting only two points back of Monchengladbach, which holds an automatic Champions League berth.

Monchengladbach visits bottom-half side Hertha Berlin, while last-place Stuttgart tries to lift itself out of the bottom three with a victory at fifth -place Schalke.

Also this weekend, Borussia Dortmund visits Hoffenheim, Cologne travels to Augsburg and Werder Bremen entertains Eintracht.
