Devante Wallace hit six 3-pointers and John Brown had a team-high 19 points as High Point beat Charleston Southern 76-70 on Monday and moved into a tie atop the Big South's North Division.

Wallace scored 12 points in the first half for High Point (12-13, 8-4 Big South) and made all but five of the Panthers' 11 3-pointers. Brown grabbed nine rebounds as High Points out-rebounded the Buccaneers 37-24.

Matt Kennedy scored 19 points for Charleston Southern (11-14, 5-7), while Sheldon Strickland and Arlon Harper added 17 apiece. Strickland made five of Charleston Southern's 11 3-pointers.

High Point was up 60-46 with 12:37 left, but Charleston Southern went on a 12-2 run, capped by 3-pointers by Kennedy and Strickland. Will Saunders' basket made it a one possession game with under a minute to play, but High Point made just enough free throws (5 of 8) in the final minute.
