Vikings LB Mike Zimmer on Vikings coach Mike Zimmer: 'I can't even Google myself'

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. – Mike Zimmer, meet Mike Zimmer.

The Minnesota Vikings saw enough during a tryout earlier this month to bring second-year linebacker Mike Zimmer to training camp with them this season. And Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer says it has nothing to do with the linebacker's name or background.

The coach and the player are not related. But in an uncanny coincidence, they both have the same name and both went to college at Illinois State.

Mike Zimmer the player jokes that he "can't even Google himself" because Mike Zimmer the coach gets all the attention.

Zimmer the player was in Jacksonville last season. He says he feels like the Vikings are a good fit and he's focused on doing whatever it takes to make the team.
