Valladolid rode a pair of first-half goals to a second straight La Liga victory on Monday, earning a 2-1 defeat of Sevilla at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Patrick Ebert put visiting Valladolid in front inside just the second minute of play, and Oscar Gonzalez doubled the advantage 10 minutes later with his seventh goal of the campaign.

Sevilla was handed a lifeline five minutes into the second period when Manucho turned in an own goal to cut Valladolid's lead in half.

But with Sevilla's Gary Medel receiving a red card in the 63rd minute, Valladolid was able to close the game out and improve to 21 points on the season.

After back-to-back league losses, Sevilla remains stuck on 18 points.
