New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - South Carolina is No. 1 in the Associated Press women's college basketball poll for the sixth straight week.
The Gamecocks received 24 first-place votes and a total of 864 points from a nationwide media panel.
The first 10 teams stayed the same with Connecticut, Texas, Notre Dame, Texas A&M completing the top five. UConn picked up seven first-place votes and Texas claimed four No. 1 tallies.
Baylor, Louisville, Tennessee, North Carolina and Duke rounded out top 10.
Kentucky moved up one spot to 11th and was followed by Nebraska, Oregon State, Maryland, Stanford, Rutgers, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Georgia and Iowa. Georgia dropped five places to 19th.
The last five teams ranked are Syracuse, Arizona State, Seton Hall, Michigan State and DePaul.
Seton Hall and DePaul are this week's newcomers, replacing West Virginia and Green Bay. Seton Hall is in the Top 25 for the first time since Jan. 31, 1995.
