Lisbon, Portugal (SportsNetwork.com) - Islam Slimani struck twice in a span of two second-half minutes on Saturday as Sporting Lisbon rolled to a 4-0 thrashing of Penafiel.

After a scoreless opening half, Slimani found the back of the net in the 69th minute and completed his double two minutes later to give his side a comfortable margin.

Former Seattle Sounder Fredy Montero added a third goal eight minutes from time and former Manchester United man Nani completed the rout with a fourth goal five minutes from time.

The result lifts Sporting to 13 points on the season as the club remains unbeaten through seven matches, while newly-promoted Penafiel remains in 17th place with four points from seven matches.

Also in Portugal over the weekend, Anderson Talisca, Derley, Eduardo Silva and Jonas all found the back of the net as Benfica rolled to a 4-0 rout of Arouca on Sunday, while Bruno Moreira hit for a pair of goals as Pacos Ferreira topped Maritimo, 3-2.

Bruno Martins Indi and Juan Quintero found the back of the net to lift FC Porto to a 2-1 win over Braga, while Simmy and Kleber traded goals as Gil Vicente and Estoril played to a 1-1 draw.

Joao Schimdt and Deyverson swapped tallies as Belenenses and Vitoria Setubal finished level at 1-1.

In Sunday's final fixtures, Academica and Moreirense played to a scoreless draw, as did Nacional and Rio Ave.

Friday's result saw Jonathan Alvez fire home a hat trick to lift Guimaraes to a 3-0 rout of Boavista.
