Den Bosch, The Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - Israel's Dudi Sela won his opening-round match on Sunday at the Topshelf Open, a final grass-court Wimbledon tune-up.
Sela posted a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) victory over Frenchman Benoit Paire at Autotron Rosmalen.
In the only other main draw match, Dutch wild card Jesse Huta Galung advanced when Kazakhstan's Aleksandr Nedovyesov retired with a back injury. Huta Galung was leading 6-2, 1-0.
Frenchman Nicolas Mahut was 240th in the world when he became the lowest- ranked winner on the ATP World Tour in five years with a victory over Stan Wawrinka in last year's final.
