Dundee, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - Ross County extended its unbeaten streak in league play to seven games on Saturday with a 2-1 victory over Dundee United at Tannadice Park.
Coming off a 2-1 win over Kilmarnock on March 21, the visitors again got off to a quick start as Jackson Irvine opened the scoring after just 12 minutes of play.
Eight minutes later the home side found an equalizer through a penalty kick off the boot of Nadir Ciftci, but the winning tally came 18 minutes from time through Raffaele De Vita, who fired past Dundee United goalkeeper Radoslaw Cierzniak to give his side all three points.
The result see Ross County improve to 31 points from 31 games played, while Dundee United remains in fourth place on 46 points.
Also in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday, Alistair Crawford and Brian Easton traded goals as Hamilton and St. Johnstone played to a 1-1 draw, while Dundee FC and Inverness played to a 1-1 stalemate thanks to goals from Paul McGowan and Graeme Shinnie.
Lee Erwin's 77th minute goal proved to be the winner for Motherwell in a 2-1 result over Kilmarnock, while Saturday's final fixture saw Aberdeen and Partick Thistle play to a scoreless draw.
