Several players have returned to spring training this week after participating in the World Baseball Classic.

And let's face it, the intensity between the WBC and weekday matinee games in small Florida and Arizona ballparks is a sharp contrast.

But many — like New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano and Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Jose Reyes — are hoping to guard against a letdown. There is, after all, a regular season to play in a few weeks.

Reyes, in fact, says he wants "to play the same way I played in the WBC because the season is right around the corner. I'm going to continue to work on my game and be ready to go."
