Report: Chiefs sign CB Robinson
Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly signed cornerback Dunta Robinson to a three-year contract.
Multiple media outlets, including the Kansas City Star, reported the deal Friday, although nothing can become official until Tuesday when the new league year begins.
Robinson, who was cut by Atlanta last week, started all 16 games for the Falcons last season and racked up 80 tackles, eight passes defensed and one interception.
Over three seasons in Atlanta, Robinson started all 47 games he appeared in, compiling 184 tackles, four picks and 24 passes defensed.
The 30-year-old Georgia native was drafted 10th overall by Houston in the 2004 draft and spent his first six seasons with the Texans.
Over nine NFL seasons, Robinson has totaled 577 tackles, 17 interceptions and 5 1/2 sacks in 131 games, including 126 starts.
