(SportsNetwork.com) - Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss was fined $22,050 by the NFL for an outburst directed at officials that got him ejected from Sunday's game against the Giants.

An NFL spokesman confirmed Friday that Moss was fined for using "abusive and insulting" language toward officials after a Washington touchdown at the end of the first half was overturned following a replay review.

Officials ruled Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III had lost control of the ball before it crossed the goal line.

Moss was seen yelling and pointing at officials near the sideline as the teams left the field at halftime, drawing an ejection and an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty enforced on the second-half kickoff.

The Giants took advantage, recovering an onside kick in Redskins territory to set up a field goal. They won the game 24-13.
