Reds place P Bray on DL

The Cincinnati Reds placed reliever Bill Bray on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday with a strained left groin.

The move is retroactive to April 19.

Bray appeared in 79 games last season for the Reds, going 5-3 with a 2.98 earned run average, 44 strikeouts and 17 walks.

He has a 13.50 ERA in five contests this season.

Right-handed pitcher J.J. Hoover has been recalled from Triple-A Louisville to take Bray's roster spot.
