Rays recall Lueke, designate Farnsworth for assignment

Los Angeles, CA – The Tampa Bay Rays recalled pitcher Josh Lueke from Triple-A Durham and designated pitcher Kyle Farnsworth for assignment.

Lueke was 2-1 with a 0.72 ERA in 34 games for Durham. He made 11 appearances for Tampa Bay earlier this season, posting an 0-2 record with a 3.75 ERA.

Farnsworth, 37, signed a one-year, $1.25 million deal with the Rays this past offseason. He went 2-0 but had a 5.76 ERA in 39 appearances.
