Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre left Tuesday's game against the Boston Red Sox after being hit by a pitch.

With two outs in the eighth, Vicente Padilla struck Beltre flush in the helmet with a fastball.

After the game, the Rangers announced that Beltre suffered a contusion on the side of his head and no concussion.

"Everything is testing normal for him, but will continue to monitor him. Thanks for all the well wishes & kind words," the Rangers said via their Twitter account.
