Vancouver, BC – Dustin Penner scored the game-winning goal with 3:14 remaining in the third period as the Los Angeles Kings beat the Vancouver Canucks, 4-2, at Rogers Arena in Game 1 of a Western Conference quarterfinal series.
Mike Richards registered a goal and two assists for the Kings, who are meeting Vancouver in the first round for the second time in three years.
