Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby skated with his teammates for the second time in less than a week on Thursday but his return from concussion-like symptoms remains uncertain.

Crosby participated in the non-contact portion of the hourlong session, but coach Dan Bylsma said there's no change in Crosby's status. The 24-year-old Crosby hasn't played since the concussion-like symptoms resurfaced following a loss to Boston on Dec. 5.

Crosby had the option of skating with injured forward Tyler Kennedy before practice, but instead decided to join the active Penguins to get a feel for playing on crowded ice. He still has not been cleared by doctors for contact.

The 2009 NHL MVP said last week he has been unable to shake some of the symptoms but remains hopeful he will return sometime this season.
