Turin, Italy – Fiorentina extended its unbeaten run in Serie A to four games as Manuel Pasqual scored the lone goal in the club's 1-0 defeat of Genoa at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Thursday.
The goal came in the 14th minute as defender Gonzalo Rodriguez played a superb long ball over the top of the Genoa defense for Pasqual to loop over the head of the on-rushing .
The win lifts Fiorentina to 18 points on the season as the club stays put in fifth place.
Genoa has lost three straight to remain stuck on nine points, two points clear of the relegation zone.
