Broussard, Louisiana – Brenden Pappas and Will MacKenzie both under 63 to grab a share of first place at the Louisiana Open, but a familiar champion lurks close behind after Thursday's opening round.
Brett Wetterich, who won this tournament in 2011 and 2003, carded a seven- under 64 and is alone in third place.
Stephen Gangluff, Rob Oppenheim, Chris Riley, Brad Adamonis and Gene Sauers all posted 65s and are tied for fourth.
