Victoria, Australia – Gareth Paddison struggled to a three- shot win at the Victorian PGA Championship.
Paddison, who played the final nine holes in six-over par, ended at seven- under-par 277 on the Creswick Course at Forest Resort.
The New Zealander, who will defend his Queensland PGA Championship title next week, won for the fourth time on the Australasian Tour.
Paddison, who led by three to start the round, moved to 13-under par with three birdies on the front nine. Around the turn, he traded a bogey for a birdie from the 11th to remain at minus-13, but plenty of trouble loomed.
He faltered to a triple-bogey on the par-three 13th to slide to 10-under. Paddison tripped to bogeys on 15 and 16. He also bogeyed the last to end one clear of Leighton Lyle.
Lyle posted a two-under 69 to end alone in second at minus-six.
Peter O'Malley and David McKenzie both carded five-under 66s to share third place at five-under-par 279. They were joined there by Marcus Cain (69) and Andre Stolz (71).
